Construction Industry

Thanks to their fast setting and high strength properties, ISTRA calcium aluminate cements have numerous potential applications in the construction industry. As an additive to Portland cements (OPC), ISTRA calcium aluminate cements accelerate the start of setting and early strength development.

Pipes & Aggregates

The problem of corrosion due to internal attack from aggressive fluids such as sewage and industrial waste is pervasive in many countries. As liquid waste is becoming more and more concentrated, chemically resistant construction materials are required. This is achieved by using ISTRA 40/50 Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC).

Refractory Industry

Resistance to high temperatures is the main reason for using Calcium Aluminate (CA) Cements in refractory products. High heat resistance combined with simple handling and extended workability make mortars and concretes based on CA cements extremely durable refractory products.

Reprocessing

ISTRA CAC binders are traditionally used in applications such as building chemistry, sewage pipes, refractory mortars and refractory linings. In addition, ISTRA CAC binders can also be used in special applications in the treatment of liquid and solid wastes.
